De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, le tribunal correctionnel de Paris a confirm\u00e9 qu\u2019il y avait des limites \u00e0 l\u2019expression m\u00e9diatique, en condamnant <em>Valeurs actuelles<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/actualite-medias\/article\/2015\/02\/03\/marianne-voilee-le-directeur-de-valeurs-actuelles-condamne_4568964_3236.html\" target=\"_blank\">pour provocation \u00e0 la discrimination envers les musulmans<\/a>, pour sa Une du 22 septembre 2013 repr\u00e9sentant une Marianne voil\u00e9e, avec le titre \u00abNaturalis\u00e9s, l\u2019invasion qu\u2019on nous cache\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/valeursactuelles_niqab.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1052\" src=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/valeursactuelles_niqab.jpg?resize=700%2C484\" alt=\"valeursactuelles_niqab\" width=\"670\" height=\"463\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Cette condamnation confirme \u00e9galement que l\u2019illustration mobilis\u00e9e par le magazine d\u2019extr\u00eame droite n\u2019est pas une image comme une autre. Elabor\u00e9 dans le contexte de l\u2019id\u00e9ologie identitaire, le motif de la Marianne noire est une figure exemplaire de l\u2019islamophobie, dont la dimension pol\u00e9mique <a href=\"http:\/\/lesensdesimages.com\/2015\/01\/15\/presse-islamophobie-quen-est-il\/\" target=\"_blank\">a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 largement soulign\u00e9e<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/lepoint_niqab.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1053\" src=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/lepoint_niqab.jpg?resize=700%2C437\" alt=\"lepoint_niqab\" width=\"670\" height=\"418\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s une premi\u00e8re occurrence en 1985, c\u2019est le <em>Figaro magazine<\/em> du 21 septembre 1991, en illustration d\u2019un article de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident Val\u00e9ry Giscard d\u2019Estaing intitul\u00e9 \u00abImmigration ou invasion?\u00bb, qui montre la nature double de la figure, d\u00e9clinaison perverse de la Marianne r\u00e9publicaine sous la forme d\u2019une musulmane identifiable \u00e0 son voile, parfait \u00e9cho visuel du fantasme identitaire qui a pour horizon l\u2019invasion, le \u201cremplacement\u201d ou la soumission au mod\u00e8le islamique, tel qu\u2019il s\u2019exprime avec clart\u00e9 dans le dernier roman de Michel Houellebecq<sup><a id=\"identifier_0_1050\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\" Michel Houellebecq, Soumission, Paris, Flammarion, 2015.\" href=\"http:\/\/imagesociale.fr\/1050#footnote_0_1050\">1<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/figmag_niqab.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1054\" src=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/figmag_niqab.jpg?resize=700%2C445\" alt=\"figmag_niqab\" width=\"670\" height=\"426\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dans le contexte de l\u2019inexorable mont\u00e9e de l\u2019islamophobie en France<sup><a id=\"identifier_1_1050\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\" Thomas Deltombe, L\u2019Islam imaginaire. Comment les \u00e9lites fran\u00e7aises fabriquent le \u2018probl\u00e8me musulman\u2019, Paris, La D\u00e9couverte, 2013.\" href=\"http:\/\/imagesociale.fr\/1050#footnote_1_1050\">2<\/a><\/sup>, la figure de la femme voil\u00e9e n\u2019est pas une simple image, mais l\u2019un des principaux marqueurs d\u2019une <em>imagerie<\/em><sup><a id=\"identifier_2_1050\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\" J\u2019appelle \u201cimagerie\u201d un corpus th\u00e9matique coh\u00e9rent, dot\u00e9 d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rative ou virale, autrement dit d\u2019une productivit\u00e9 qui atteste et entretient son succ\u00e8s.\" href=\"http:\/\/imagesociale.fr\/1050#footnote_2_1050\">3<\/a><\/sup>, support dynamique d\u2019une id\u00e9ologie particuli\u00e8rement active, qui joue habilement d\u2019un large registre de connotations, ainsi qu\u2019on a pu le constater \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Affaires_du_voile_islamique_en_France\" target=\"_blank\">vaste d\u00e9bat sur le voile islamique<\/a> (qui d\u00e9bute en 1989 avec l\u2019exclusion de trois coll\u00e9giennes au lyc\u00e9e de Creil, et se cl\u00f4t deux d\u00e9cennies plus tard par le vote des lois de 2004 et 2010).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/campagnefnj2010.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1055\" src=\"http:\/\/i1.wp.com\/imagesociale.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/campagnefnj2010.jpg?resize=700%2C505\" alt=\"campagnefnj2010\" width=\"670\" height=\"483\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Motif visuel des plus lisibles, le voile fonctionne comme un <em>indicateur de dissimulation<\/em>, le symbole d\u2019une propension \u00e0 la duplicit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la fourberie, mais aussi celui de l\u2019imposition d\u2019un \u00e9tat de r\u00e9clusion et de confinement. Dans le contexte de la repr\u00e9sentation raciste, qui accentue habituellement les traits physiques en vue de l\u2019identification des populations stigmatis\u00e9es (<em>voir ci-dessous<\/em>), il s\u2019agit d\u2019une \u00e9volution remarquable, le choix d\u2019une manifestation culturelle, mais aussi d\u2019un caract\u00e8re qui masque pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l\u2019apparence de la personne. Dans l\u2019antith\u00e8se all\u00e9gorique qui oppose la femme voil\u00e9e \u00e0 la civilisation occidentale, la Femen blonde aux seins nus se portant au-devant des journalistes constitue l\u2019indispensable <em>alter ego<\/em> de la Marianne noire.
