En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, l\u2019expulsion, par tous les moyens, du maximum d\u2019habitants non juifs de la Palestine, et la conqu\u00eate du maximum de leurs territoires, fut un objectif constant du sionisme, aussi ancien que l\u2019id\u00e9e m\u00eame, exprim\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 la fin du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, de cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un Etat juif en Palestine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab\u00a0Les Arabes doivent partir, mais nous avons besoin d\u2019un moment favorable pour que cela arrive, par exemple une guerre\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e9crivait en 1937, dans une lettre \u00e0 l\u2019un de ses fils, le chef de file du mouvement sioniste et futur fondateur de l\u2019Etat d\u2019Isra\u00ebl, David Ben Gourion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Avec la fin annonc\u00e9e, \u00e0 partir de 1947, de la pr\u00e9sence britannique, les dirigeants sionistes constatent que le rapport de forces, diplomatique et \u00e9ventuellement militaire, leur est d\u00e9sormais favorable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le 10 mars 1948, une dizaine de responsables r\u00e9unis par David Ben Gourion approuvent les derniers d\u00e9tails de leur \u00ab\u00a0plan D\u00a0\u00bb. Il comporte la description de tous les villages de Palestine, avec des d\u00e9tails sur la mani\u00e8re d\u2019attaquer militairement chacun d\u2019entre eux, d\u2019en chasser les habitants, et m\u00eame d\u2019ex\u00e9cuter sommairement des centaines d\u2019hommes, consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme \u00ab\u00a0suspects\u00a0\u00bb, dont des listes nominatives ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soigneusement dress\u00e9es. Le \u00ab\u00a0plan D\u00a0\u00bb est ensuite distribu\u00e9, pour application imm\u00e9diate, aux officiers des 12 brigades de la Haganah, l\u2019arm\u00e9e juive, qui conna\u00eet \u00e0 ce moment un d\u00e9veloppement fulgurant, tant en effectifs qu\u2019en \u00e9quipement moderne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De la mi-mars au 15 mai 1948 \u2014 date programm\u00e9e du d\u00e9part du dernier soldat britannique de Palestine \u2014 se d\u00e9roule alors, non pas comme le rab\u00e2che l\u2019histoire officielle, la \u00ab\u00a0premi\u00e8re guerre isra\u00e9lo-arabe\u00a0\u00bb, mais la vaste op\u00e9ration de nettoyage ethnique lanc\u00e9e par une Haganah forte de 90.000 hommes, auxquels la r\u00e9sistance palestinienne ne saura opposer que quelques milliers de miliciens villageois \u00e0 l\u2019armement d\u00e9risoire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">D\u00e8s la fin du mois de mars, au moins trente villages arabes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ray\u00e9s de la carte, selon le sch\u00e9ma\u00a0: encerclement de la localit\u00e9, rassemblement de la population, ordre donn\u00e9 de fuir, mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart des \u00ab\u00a0suspects\u00a0\u00bb et leur ex\u00e9cution imm\u00e9diate. Apr\u00e8s une phase de pillages et de violences diverses, suit la destruction de toutes les maisons jug\u00e9es impropres \u00e0 un habitat juif, voire du village entier, sur les ruines duquel seront \u00e9difi\u00e9s des kibboutz et autres colonies juives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"spip_document_7067 spip_documents spip_documents_center\"> <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"height: 227px; width: 333px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.europalestine.com\/local\/cache-vignettes\/L333xH227\/livres_palestiniens_de_truits_nakba-bceee.jpg\" width=\"333\" height=\"227\" \/><\/span> <em>Destruction des livres palestiniens pendant la nakba<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un des \u00e9pisodes les plus sanglants de la p\u00e9riode est rest\u00e9 dans les annales\u00a0: le massacre des villageois de Deir Yassin, pr\u00e8s de J\u00e9rusalem, le 9 avril 1948. Les dirigeants de l\u2019Etat juif ont longtemps mis cette exaction sur le compte de la milice dite \u00ab\u00a0extr\u00e9miste\u00a0\u00bb de l\u2019Irgoun, et ont jur\u00e9 leurs grands dieux que jamais la Haganah n\u2019aurait pu tuer d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment des femmes et des enfants. Faux\u00a0! Non seulement parce qu\u2019il y a eu beaucoup d\u2019autres villages martyrs, o\u00f9 la Haganah a op\u00e9r\u00e9 en solo, mais parce que la Haganah a bel et bien particip\u00e9 elle-m\u00eame \u00e0 la tuerie de Deir Yassin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apr\u00e8s les villages, les villes\u00a0: successivement, les principales villes palestiniennes sont attaqu\u00e9es, \u00e0 Jaffa, Nazareth, Tib\u00e9riade, \u00e0 Acre et \u00e0 Ha\u00effa, dont les habitants arabes sont contraints par milliers de fuir par la mer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Parmi les \u00e9pisodes les plus spectaculaires de cette phase de la trag\u00e9die palestinienne, on peut citer les \u00ab\u00a0exploits\u00a0\u00bb de deux jeunes officiers isra\u00e9liens promis \u00e0 de brillantes carri\u00e8res, Moshe Dayan et un certain Yitzakh Rabin, qui ordonnent l\u2019expulsion des 70.000 habitants des villes arabes de Lydda (Lod) et Ramleh. L\u2019exode des Palestiniens, jet\u00e9s sur les routes sans vivres, sans eau et sous un soleil de plomb, se transforme en marche de la mort pour des centaines d\u2019enfants et de vieillards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lorsque s\u2019ach\u00e8ve cette premi\u00e8re phase, au cours de laquelle les arm\u00e9es des pays arabes avoisinants ne sont pas encore intervenues, plus de 10.000 Palestiniens, dont une large majorit\u00e9 de civils d\u00e9sarm\u00e9s, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s par les forces sionistes, et 300.000 au moins ont \u00e9t\u00e9 chass\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les dirigeants des Etats arabes, pas plus que les dirigeants sionistes, ne souhaitent l\u2019\u00e9tablissement d\u2019un Etat arabe ind\u00e9pendant en Palestine. C\u2019est pourquoi, lorsqu\u2019ils interviennent en Palestine apr\u00e8s le 15 mai, il s\u2019agit principalement pour eux, de faire acte de pr\u00e9sence pour apaiser l\u2019\u00e9motion de leurs propres opinions publiques \u00e9mues par la trag\u00e9die de leurs fr\u00e8res palestiniens, et ils n\u2019envoient que des contingents r\u00e9duits, inf\u00e9rieurs num\u00e9riquement et en armement \u00e0 la puissance isra\u00e9lienne. Finalement, les combats avec les arm\u00e9es arabes, interrompus \u00e0 plusieurs reprises sur injonction des Nations et Unies, o\u00f9 chaque grande puissance (Grande-Bretagne, Etats-Unis, Union Sovi\u00e9tique principalement) n\u2019a pas encore clairement d\u00e9termin\u00e9 qui pouvaient \u00eatre ses alli\u00e9s ou vassaux r\u00e9gionaux, feront un seul perdant incontestable, la population palestinienne. Ils permettront au roi de Jordanie de s\u2019emparer de la Cisjordanie et de la moiti\u00e9 de J\u00e9rusalem, \u00e0 l\u2019Egypte d\u2019occuper la minuscule bande de Gaza encombr\u00e9e de centaines de milliers de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s palestiniens chass\u00e9s par le nouvel Etat juif, et \u00e0 celui-ci de s\u2019agrandir au point d\u2019occuper 78% du pays. Au plan territorial, cette situation restera dans l\u2019ensemble fig\u00e9e jusqu\u2019en 1967.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CAPJPO-EuroPalestine<\/p>\n<hr class=\"spip\" \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ENGLISH TRANSLATION <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab\u00a01948\u00a0: They fled\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since 1948 the official history of Israel has been based on the lie that the 800,000 Palestinians who became refugees had left voluntarily, at the request of the surrounding Arab states. The reality is that the expulsion, using any methods, of a maximum number of non-Jewish inhabitants of Palestine had always been aim of zionism, one as old as the idea, first mooted at the end of the 19th century, of the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab\u00a0The Arabs must leave, but we need the right time for that to happen, for example, a war\u00a0\u00bb. This was written in 1937, in a letter to one of his sons, by the leader of the zionist movement and future founder of the State of Israel, David Ben Gurion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the announced departure, as of 1947, of the British presence, the zionist leaders saw that the balance of power, both diplomatic and military, was from then on in their favour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 10 March 1948, a group of officers convened by Ben Gurion approved the final details of their \u00ab\u00a0Plan D\u00a0\u00bb. It contained a description of every village in Palestine, with detailed plans to attack each one of them, to drive out their inhabitants, and even to summarily execute hundreds of men, whose names had been put onto a list of \u00ab\u00a0suspects\u00a0\u00bb. \u00ab\u00a0Plan D\u00a0\u00bb was then distributed, for immediate execution, to the officers of the 12 brigades of the Haganah, the Jewish army, which was then being developed at lightening speed, in terms of numbers as well as modern equipment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From mid-March until 15 May 1948 \u2013 the planned departure date of the last British soldiers from Palestine \u2013 it was not \u00ab\u00a0the first Israeli-Arab war\u00a0\u00bb, as the official story would have it, but instead a vast ethnic-cleansing operation launched by a 90,000-strong Haganah \u2013 up against which the Palestinian resistance could only muster a few thousand village militiamen with pitifully few weapons. From the month of March, at least thirty Arab villages were wiped off the map, in accordance with the plan\u00a0: first surround the village, then round up the population, give the order to flee, and take aside the \u00ab\u00a0suspects\u00a0\u00bb for immediate execution. Following the pillaging and violence, all the houses judged unsuitable for Jewish dwellings were destroyed, sometimes all the houses in an entire village, on the ruins of which would be built the kibbutz and other Jewish colonies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the most bloody episodes has stayed in the annals of history\u00a0: the massacre of the villagers of Deir Yassin near Jerusalem on 9 April 1948. The leaders of the Jewish state blamed the so-called \u00ab\u00a0extremist\u00a0\u00bb militia of Irgun and swore that Haganah could never have deliberately killed women and children. False\u00a0! Not only because there were many other martyred villages, where Haganah was operating on its own, but also because Haganah did indeed take part in the carnage at Deir Yassin. . After the villages came the towns\u00a0: the major Palestinian towns of Jaffa, Nazareth, Tiberiad, Acre and Haifa were attacked and their Arab inhabitants had to flee in their thousands.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amongst the most spectacular episodes of this phase of the Palestinian tragedy, one can cite the \u00ab\u00a0exploits\u00a0\u00bb of two young Israeli officers destined for brilliant careers\u00a0: Moshe Dayan and a certain Yitzakh Rabin, who ordered the expulsion of the 70,000 inhabitants of the Arab towns of Lydda (Lod) and Ramleh. The exodus of the Palestinians, forced to take flight with no food or water and under a sweltering sun, turned into a death march for hundreds of children and old people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When this first phase was completed, during which there was no intervention by the neighbouring Arab countries, more than 10,000 Palestinians, most of whom were unarmed civilians, were killed by the zionist forces and at least 300,000 were forced to flee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The leaders of the Arab states, just like the zionist leaders, did not wish to see the creation of an independent Arab state in Palestine. That is why, when they did intervene in Palestine after 15 May, it was merely designed to calm the emotions of their own public opinion, moved by the unfolding tragedy of their Palestinian brethren\u00a0; they sent small forces which were inferior in number and weapons and no match for the power of the Israelis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally, the battles with the Arab armies were interrupted on several occasions by order of the United Nations, whose major powers \u2013 principally Great Britain, the USA and the USSR \u2013 had not yet clearly determined who could be their allies or regional puppets. They allowed the king of Jordan to take over the West Bank and half of Jerusalem, and Egypt to occupy the tiny Gaza Strip, saturated with hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees who had been chased away by the new Jewish state. The latter was allowed to increase its size to occupy 78% of the land. There was one undisputed loser in the struggle\u00a0: the Palestinian people.
