Criminalisation of Muslim political activism in Europe<\/div>\n
Islamophobia is on the rise in Europe. Islamophobic violence is not only directed against Muslims, but also Muslim political activism, which is increasingly subject to restrictions and harassment in Europe.
\nWhile restrictions on Muslims are already overwhelming, several issues arise:
\n– What are the explicit links between pro-Israeli groups and organizations and the European extreme right? How are they working on the demonisation of Islam and Muslims while focusing on maintaining and consolidating support to Israel?
\n– Is there a relationship between Islamophobia and the demonisation of Palestine and Palestinians?
\n– Who are these groups that fuel Islamophobia, what are their links with those involved in defending Israeli colonial policy?
\n– How is Islamophobia used to gain additional support for Israel, and how successful has this been in the aftermath of 9\/11?

\nThis event began in January 2010 with the convergence of two ideas.
\nCountering the idea that some genocides are more exclusive than others and therefore worthy of greater attention.
\nTo identify current genocidal practices in order to stop them.
\nOne of the pivotal points of this project is to emphasize that there should be no hierarchy of victims according to their origin. We want to highlight the people and power structures that have committed genocides and at the same time honour the memory of the victims of these genocides.
\nThe initiative is British, but it is taking place simultaneously in Amsterdam, London, Paris and Brussels.
\nThis day is therefore organized so that the memory of colonial crimes\/genocides, the slave trade and slavery remain alive and does not fall into oblivion. So that these crimes perpetrated and hidden by the \u00ab\u00a0civilized nations\u00a0\u00bb are fully recognized and assumed by the Western world.<\/div>\n
